Sheriff’s Department Makes Drug Arrest
On 10/15/15, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office arrested Scott Eric Nelson, age 24 of Union Bridge, on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of CDS paraphernalia, and possession of CDS administration equipment, and Brandon Lee Fogle, age 20 of Brunswick, for possession of CDS administration equipment.
At approximately 2:00 p.m., Dfc. Brian Woodward made a traffic stop for a moving violation on Interstate 70 eastbound at Linganore Road. During the traffic stop a Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit responded to assist. The K-9 unit conducted a scan of the vehicle and alerted to the odor of a narcotic. During a search of the vehicle 7 hypodermic syringes containing suspected heroin residue were located and seized along with other heroin paraphernalia. Deputies located and seized prescription Suboxone during a search of Nelson.
Nelson and Fogle were arrested without incident and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center’s Central Booking Unit for processing. The CDS and paraphernalia were placed on property as evidence with the Sheriff’s Office.
